Nice job, good pictures, and it's good to see another member with CAD experience. That is a nice looking shotgun condenser not a liebig.

I was also able to talk work into buying me the Autodesk Suite last year, so I used Inventor to make a nice template for slant plates at a 30^ angle that you can wrap around a pipe if that Is helpful to anyone, just print it out to scale and trace the line.

I taught AutoCAD, Inventer, SolidWorks, and Rhinoceros but now that I am retired I mainly use Rhinoceros. It's a nice software for making 3D solids then doing a roll-out for sheet work. I just finished helping 2 members with different still designs that they are building. I also have access at my old school to both CNC mill and a CNC plasma cutter that I used to make my still. Makes life a bit easier!

Nice work! For the copper, simply add some copper mesh between the line arm's elbow and the condenser. Careful not to use the copper --plated-- scrubbies, but rather, get the good stuff. Garden centers will sell rolls of pure copper mesh as a slug repellant. Available on-line if you don't have a local source.

You can also experiment with adding copper mesh from the boiler to the elbow; it will cause a bit of reflux, and with some trial and error, you might find an amount that works perfectly, raising the ABV a bit while giving you a cleaner end product.

Sorry about that, I've realized that I don't really like Photobucket very much lol

Copper mesh in the elbow is a great idea, I think i'll try that!
