I have used them both with wine and cider but for mash or wash which one is better for flavor and max yields.
For cider and wine I found the flavor is better with top fermenting.

hmm seeems everyone likes the top fermenting yeast
my personally preference is bottom (for making alcohol that is..)
why do most people like top fermenting?
explain why you prefer top to bottom....
i prefer bottom as I think it clears quicker, as for fermentation speeds, I have found them the same
