Anyone ever use a lager yeast for whiskey?

I know this makes no economic sense. That said lager strains ferment clean and have a high attenuation. I'm restricted where I live due to temps, just curious if anyone's ever given it a go?

If by temperature restricted you mean lower temps, a lager yeast can work well. However, that could mean longer ferment times. Have you a specific yeast strain in mind? Maybe Saflager?
