I came into possession of a magnetic stirrer, the matching magnets, and a 2000 ml flask. It came included in a bunch of home brew equipment I bought off of Craigslist. I've looked around but only have found vague references to using them. Can someone point me to a reference for using this machine or if it's pretty straight forward, just give a quick explanation for me(us).
I don't mind doing the reading if someone can point me to what to read? There's lots of contradictory info out there.
Thanks

Re: magnetic stirrer
most use them for making yeast bombs. Put you magnet in a glass jar and the magnet stirs it for you. Usually they have fans in the bottom that the other magnet is on. Their Pretty cool.

Re: magnetic stirrer
If anyone else is interested in growing, starting, and pitching yeast, and using a magnetic stirrer in the process, I found this in my search,:

I have one. it is for starting your yeast. Put some sugarr, yeast and water in the flask.... put on stirplate, gets yeast up and moving.... multiplying and strong.
