Flavoring - Ole Smokey type SPD variants

Post by Doogie »

I stumbled across ole'smokey's website (http://olesmokymoonshine.com/products/original" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow)
Interesting the fruit flavors (I am trying to replicate the cherry with UJSSM), but looking at the clarity of the Strawberry in particular, I am curious as to their process. I suspect there is no mashing of the fruit at the end. Has anyone tried their product? I see it is only at 40 proof (nice profit margins I suspect) ...

I am just wondering if anyone has tried it, and how to get it clear like that ...

Want to keep people from consulting idiots on youTube about distilling?? Don't be an idiot when someone asks for advice ... Help them

I've done it with cherries also... as did my mom when she was alive. We did it with Grappa. I've done it with brandy also. Just put the cherries in there
and tuck it away... they come out oh-so good... especially around Christmas....I tried it with peaches, but they get kinda soggy...but there's good flavor.
Good luck
