wanted: controller parts list.

Post by tolbers1 »

I have poured over hundreds if posts and am still unclear of what to buy for my controller. I have a 220V element I want to use. Can one of you experienced studs suggest a list if essentials needed. I want to get quality parts, and am an overkill kind of guy. I would really appreciate a full list and would forever be grateful.

you need an SSR that is controlled by a potentiometer (input measured in Ohms); and a pot in the right range for the input. Pretty straightforward and cheap. A suitable size box, and some 10-12 gauge braided cord.

Easiest way to avoid being on a TTB list is to not purchase a boiler, full column, or condensor from a retailer. Build your own.

You'll need a heatsink for the SSR, don't forget thermal paste.

Dear lord, please allow this dangerous combination of hair spray, bat slobber, and DOT4 automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body.
