Something strange happening

So I had a lot of people asking me for a mixed berry flavored shine. I ran a Gerber type recipe using rice instead of barley. Afterwards I cut it with a mixture of peach, apple, and grape ciders. Then I added one of those powdered drink mixes. Something isn't mixing properly and looks really weird. There is a slimy looking darker color suspended in the pretty berry color. Tastes great though, no slimy texture. Anyone else ever try using the powdered drink mixes after distillation? I think something in that may not work with the ethanol.

Never tried any powdered mixes, but I would recommend you find a frozen mix of berries and follow this recipie using them instead of strwaberries http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... =14&t=2199.

Could be anything in it maybe the xantham gum that binds the color and other things. Or that they are designed for water.

Hopefully filtering through a coffee filter evens out the color. Looks gross right now. Tastes great though!
