Thanks guys, it turned out real good. Haven't finished yet as it has been raining since and now I have to go away for work for a month or better.
We are now coming up with a solution for the top surface. Needs to be light weight so I can remove the top. Am looking at vinyl products right now.

That looks good. Bad news is the big boss saw the pics and now I'm committed to build one.

The missing piece that seems odd to me, is that the foot rest doesn't include an ash tray. I'm not even a smoker any more, but it still feels like there should be a tray to flick butts into, spit into, toss the stash into when the cops walk in etc.. The flat piece of timber just seems out of place.
