All hearts rerun
If I run a all hearts ( or mostly hearts) third run what should I get out if the run? Will my pot still seperate the hearts from impurities even more. I'm doing it right now and just wondering if my cuts will be more refined with less heads and tails than previous runs.

Depends on your previous cuts and what you are after . Using a thumper and stripping then doing spirit runs I found marked improvement .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .

There shouldn't be any impurities unless you had a dirty still. What you have is different flavors that come over in varying strengths as the distillation progresses and it is up to the stiller to include and exclude flavors for the final cut.
Whether, or not, your triple distilling is an improvement is up to how well you make your cuts.

Well I would say the stuff that went into this run is very clean second run stuff that I was planning on drinking. The oak barrels I used didn't work out like I wanted. The first jar that came out tasted kinda heady but the next three are really smooth with a oaky flavor but no bite like before. I guess I'll know more in a few days after they air out.

+1 on what was said by TB and NZ. You could also use an all hearts run to turn it into something different. Look at "Odin's Easy Gin" recipe in the "Tried and True Recipes" forum. He runs a flavored (macerated) all hearts neutral to produce his Easy Gin. You could also use a thumper to infuse flavors into and all hearts run. Might also be a good way to rescue a botched cuts blend.

The rerun went well. Put in hearts and got mostly hearts back out. I didn't get Back as much hearts as I thought I put in but the jars in the middle sure smelled good so those are the new hearts. Put them on oak for just one night and saw a major improvement. Sipping on a cool 7 up uncle Jessie right now. Bo and Luke should be here any minute to have one with me. Cheers my brothers

Re: All hearts rerun
You found it out! Re-running hearts will give better hearts. This is because you took another cut out of the heads and tails no matter how little they are. With due care and attention the re-run can be got before the re-run. Until then, a re-run is often faster and better than any other after-treatment.
