SS Pot Thickness

Is there any concern on the thickness of a cheaper SS Pot? anyone burn through one or something?

It would take a lot to burn through one, but the thicker the steel, the more even the heat. So a thin pot over a flame will be more likely to scorch the mash or wash.

Ok cool. Im looking at electric right now. Itll be easier. Not sure about stove vs hotplate. I have to look at my stove to see if its enough. I like the modified hotplates ive seen but thats another issue

I wouldn't use a stove or a hotplate. If you are gona go through the trouble to modifies a hotplate. You mite as well go with an internal electric element.

I have been looking into them. It's more of convince than anything. I am moving and may have a garage then I'll be looking into internal
