So I am planing on bringing some recently run 3rd gen UJ to my buddies 40th in a month. I am going out of the country for 2 weeks in the middle, but I want to age the 2 half pints with some oak spirals. One is 55 abv, of is 50 abv. I know a full stick for each would be over kill.
Anybody ever tried aging small amounts? My thought is to cut a few small pieces of a spiral and use but not sure the guidelines.

Re: Aging half pint with oak spirals
Put it in one jar and nuke it. Use the instructions that came with your spirals to work out how much to use.
