How many kiwis do we have here?

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

How many kiwis do we have here?

Post by NUCLER »

Hey guys didn't quite know where to post this
I have just been reading the Tall Spirits Short Nips newsletter ( http://www.spiritsandbrewing.co.nz/news ... ne2014.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow ) and on the bottom I saw the Stillmaster competition and wondered if anyone has entered in there previous competitions, if so how did you get on? was thinking of entering a whiskey i distilled last year. would be kind of nice to have some feedback on my spirits to see if im travelling in the right direction.
the news letter doesn't have very much information but i might give it a go.
this is straight from the newsletter

Sounds pretty good. I'll probably give it a go once I've got something worth sharing.

I'm not a kiwi, but my missus is, and we're moving there at the end of this year. I seen that competition a while ago when I was doing research in nz. Would love to enter my white rum for a indication of if I'm doing it right. Would be a great way to do it. I couldn't find much info about it, do you have any more?. Like do you need a permit or certification etc?. Thanks for the info.mate.

hey googe, thats awesome. where are you moving too? i dont belive you need a permit or anything as i believe it is designed for the home distiller,
there is an issue from last june here http://www.spiritsandbrewing.co.nz/news ... ne2013.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow on page 2 they have the score card that the judges use which they then send back to you with your score. its run by (i think) the largest home brew company in NZ correct me if im wrong.
