UJSSM and SF flavor question
Can u describe to me the smell and taste of your white dog hearts UJSSM and sweetfeed? While mine smells like clean alcohol it always tastes kinda weird (before oaking) and I'm just wondering if that is normal. I wish I knew some distillers so I could compare the flavors. I just wanna make sure I'm not missing something here.

Buy a shot of white dog on your way home from work, at the bar.
Expect crappy cuts, but it should give you an idea of what white whiskey tastes like.

It's not worth buying a whole bottle, at least the stuff I have tried...

Re: UJSSM and SF flavor question
It's experice that there's not that much difference between the two white dog's if good cuts are made on both. I'm found that for me to make the cuts with SF; you need to be even more careful with heads when making cuts with SF. When both are charred and aged is another matter. I find that SF makes a move favorable and more complex drink than UJ. I'm guessing the higher sugar content of SF makes the cuts more critical while the addition of oats and barley results in a more complexity. Both are good and perfect for newbies.
Good luck.

Re: UJSSM and SF flavor question
What I have noticed between the two in the white dog is that the SF has a little bit of burn(not a bad burn) compared to UJ. So I prefer the white UJ vs SF, I have aged some of each and I prefer the SF. The SF burn has turned into a complex mouth feel. Hard to explain but I once aged I like it more than UJ. I didn't think the aged UJ had the complexity and didn't transform as much as the SF. Hope this helps.
