Bottles
Where is good place to get some nice glass bottles?? I did an Internet search also checked out eBay and Amazon. There are a few options there but price+ shipping is ridiculous. I also found a couple custom bottle manufacturers from China. Is anyone else on here as crazy as I am and using a custom bottle?? Where are you buying??

Re: Bottles
You can buy wine in gallon glass jugs for about 14.95 a gallon at WalMart. It might become fitting to drink after you ran it through your still.

Re: Bottles
There was another topic on this in I think novice. I've bought bottles from Brewhaus but shipping is expensive. I got a nice bottle from Costco for $20 and as a bonus it was filled with spiced rum!

Re: Bottles
Check with a local bar. They might save the kind you want if you go in often enough.I sometimes go dumpster diving early in the morn (especially on a Sunday )and just grab a couple of trash bags that rattle , take them home and sort through them. I have found some really cool bottles this way.

Re: Bottles
Not sure how far North you live. I'm in Canada and I have ben shopping for some supplies at Magnotta Winery. They also sell wine and beer making supplies and have better prices than the various brew your own places around town.
Gallon jug, glass, $6.99, cap for jug, $0.75
750 ml clear glass wine bottle, box of 12, $10.99, cork stopper for bottles, $0.49 each.
Best deal in town by far that I have found to date.
I recycle a lot too. I have a lot of 1.5 litre screw top bottles of cheap white wine we have been consuming for the last 3 months which I use for Aging Rum, storing low wines etc. I am gradually replacing those with nice 1 Gallon bottles.

Re: Bottles
Here's a glassware supplier. I've never ordered from them, but they have some good prices (by the case).

Re: Bottles
I bought the 1 gallon glass jugs below. Shipping is as much as the bottles but they arrived after only 1 day. Packaged nicely and shipped fast.

Here was the runner up when I was searching for jugs. Shipping price is AWESOME, 7.99 flat rate no matter what you buy. The only reason I went with the above is because the jugs came with lids and it shipped faster. In the future though, I will probably order from below.
