Try your LHBS if you need one in a hurry.
If you're like me you'll need at least 2.

Thanks LL, they don't carry them. Even on eBay they are only available from Russia or the Ukraine

Several LHBS near here carry whole distillation rigs, as well as many other distilling items and supplies.

I wasn't aware the above linked site actually is in Canada until I read the site. Shipping is reasonable and so are prices.

Re: Alcometer in Canada
This is another place. If you have one local, could avoid ordering online? This is were I got mine locally and paid cash
just in case.....
http://store.defalcowines.com/cart.php? ... ory_id=323" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
I asked Ian also about his and it was out of stock so I had to look other places.
I tested mine on a bottle of 43% canadian Whiskey and with temperature correction showed 44% So reasonably accurate at drinking strength.
Sorry if the link is a problem mods. Please remove if you need to.
when using a tail meter, ensure you use the scale included for temperature adjustment. The one I got was set at 60F and was 75F for the product I tested so had to adjust for temp.
