bottling gin with white spots in the walls of the bottle

Post by sergiolis »

Hi guys,
I get a very tasty gin but when I put it in bottles after 2 or 3 days I got white spots on the wall of the bottle.
I would like to know if someone of you had the same experience.
I guess is too much oils in the liquid and the alcohol is not able to dissolve them. But I run 16L of 38%ABV and the amount of juniper was only 92 gr. ( and the rest of botanics much less) So it's weird.
I'm making vapour infused gin with a gin basket. I don't macerate. But i tried to macerate and I got also spots on the bottle.
I'm thinking on filtering it or dilute it with more neutral. But i'm curious if someone of you had that problem. Thanks a lot
