Easy Haggis Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb / 500 g lamb Mince
7 oz / 200 g lamb's liver Minced or cut into very small pieces
4 fl oz / 125 ml water
1 finely chopped small onion
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
6 oz / 175 g oats (preferably pinhead ones)
½ a Kidney minced or cut into very small pieces
Next time I’m going to mince a lambs heart and try that and I think I will double the spices
Method
• Grease a loaf tin or bowl suitable for the oven.
• Mix up with your hands or a mixer all of the ingredients until completely combined.
• Put the mixture into the greased tin and flatten the top.
• Bake for 45-55 minutes in a pre-heated oven (350°F / 180°C)
• The centre of the loaf should be firm when pressed.
• Leave in the tin for around 2 - 3 minutes to cool..
• Gently turn on to a serving plate and serve right away or split into portions and lay aside can Freeze ok then heat in the micro

It Is good, I like my Haggis spicy so I increased the spices. You have to make sure the Kidney is in very small pieces or it can steel the show. Nexrt ime I am going to put in some heart and less Kidney

It's not a haggis without a splash o' whisky, now is it! and If you can get your paws on it, venison makes a fabulous Haggis... with Whisky, lots and lots of whisky, OH sod it, I'm going to have a drink! I'm all over this one... I'm the only one in my family who will eat the "inners" of animals... (liver, kidney etc etc)......
They say, "you are what you eat"... Then I'm fast, easy and cheap!
