So I got a few rolls of this variation of Teflon tape. I was told it's superior than the regular plumbing tape and is thicker and less reactive. Should I trust this? Seems to be designed for some extreme applications, we do use it in oil refineries.

Re: Petro-tape
It's actually way better than the regular home plumbing stuff. It's thicker, unrolls easier and doesn't tear and twist as easy. Bonus it was free!!
