3'' shotgun

Post by frodo »

came across some 3'' K copper.
so i made a 12'' shotgun condensor

flattened out a pc. of 3'' copper, cut it with snips to the size of the pipe. drilled 5/8'' in a pattern

making 2 shotguns, so i drilled out 4 3'' couplings, 2, with 7/8 holes and 2 with 5/8 holes
then sil flossed pup peices of pipe into the caps, while the caps were hot, I swedged the bottom of the cap , so that the likker will drain,

after the caps were done, I drilled the pipe and sil flossed 2 nipples aech

then i sil flossed the dividers,,then using a grinder..cut away any excess

added the tubes

hooked it up to water, tested it. no leaks !!!!!!!!!!!!
soldered the caps on.

What's it gonna go on? Them 3" caps must have cost a small fortune.

he he he...actually,,here is the deal i made.

he wanted a controller for a keg

so I made him a cranky special. in return.

i received, k copper
1, pcs of 3'' 30'' long
1, pcs of 3'' 24'' long
2, pcs of 3'' 12'' long
then, i told him, send me 4 caps
i'll make 2 shotguns, send him one back

so, now, i am entertaining what to do with the 3''

i have 5' of pipe. suggestions ?

Toot...toot...tooot...your flute.

3" is about the smallest diameter you can make into a flute. But Frodo, if anybody can manipulate copper here...it's you. If you study the designs, you'll surely find a 3" bubble plate out there. Sure, there's a lot of work ahead...but, busy hands are happy (creative).

I know you can do it...just give yourself enough time to do it.
