Have a question, I have a small cottage in the bush and want to take the "water distiller" there and want to know if it will run off a generator along with control box, I have a 4500 and 5500 w elements that I can use below is my generator.its a Ridgid 5700/7125w. Now I'm not saying will it run it full out all day I mean could I use this safely without damaging the gen?
Thank-you in advance for any replies. You cannot see it but It does obviously have 240v outlet

I am more familiar with Onans, but yours looks tough enough and the specs say it should work fine to power one element even if you want to run that element at max power all day. What size are the breakers? Look at the specs and see if there is anything about a "duty cycle." Be aware it will be using close to its maximum fuel consumption (listed in the specs you are going to read) so plan for that. It will give it a good workout, but that's what it was made for.
Distilling at 110f and 75 torr.

That generator has a 240-Volt 30-Amp twist lock connector and is rated for 5.7kW continuous duty. If you run it like that all day, day in - day out, it will use quite a lot of fuel. And it will get warm...maybe even hot. But it should pull that load.
More likely, you'll pull a big load when heating your boiler, but reduce the load when producing. So, it should be fine for your needs. Just get youself a couple of gas cans...you'll need them.

I thought my breakers were 30amp but after looking the 110 are 20 amp and the 220 are only 25amp, seems weird but that's what it reads , Johnskow69 wrote:I am more familiar with Onans, but yours looks tough enough and the specs say it should work fine to power one element even if you want to run that element at max power all day.
