picked some figs this morning,
made a simple cobbler
2 sticks butter
2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup milk
2 cup sugar
2 cups chopped pecans
6 cups fresh figs
cinnamon
350 1hour 15 minutes

Wow, Frodo, I have great envy for you and your fig tree! I bet that cobbler is wonderful.
I can't believe another year has gone by so fast, and here I am not able to make good on my threat of coming down there to pick a fig my ownself:
