FWIW, I generally also just clean my plastic fermentation buckets out with hot water and wipe them dry with paper towels. If they are starting to get a scale build-up, I fill them with water and toss in about 4 Poly-Dent denture cleaning tablets and let them soak overnight. I don't wear dentures, but these tablets work really good at descaling and sanitizing, especially if you have the glass carboys which are difficult to scrub out.

I try to avoid phosphates cuz they choke the hell out of rivers and lakes.30% ocyclean
30% TSP90
40% Cascade
Rinse and air dry. Dish soap if it is really cruddy.
Distilling at 110f and 75 torr.
