Infusion Spirals

Has anyone tried using these Infusion spirals? If so, were you happy with the results.

Yup.... no complaints. Used for rum and whiskeys! I have the medium char and they still make the likker pretty dark so be prepared.

i used them when i first started oaking spirits. at the time i thought the result were good. but after i got my hands on some real oak and cut up fingers and let them dry and added that to my spirits . thats when my spirits really started getting good. night and day! the oak spirils werent terrible , just far from the results i get with the fingers.

so id give them a shot. let it age and go out and find some american white oak while you are waiting. make more likker add the AMO if you can find some and check the results and compare

I tried them. I put some UJSSM on a spiral and sealed the jar for a year. The result was educational: this was oaking but it was definitely not aging. The spirit had not matured at all during that time, it had only acquired some color and oak flavor. It still had every bit of the raw hooch flavor it went in with. This experiment was one of the reasons I felt I needed to either use barrels or... something something check my signature.

The spirit has to breathe to be alive!

I use them frequently. After the first use, I let them air dry. After I collect enough of them, I put them in the toaster oven and retoast. After the second use, I char them with a torch. Three uses per stick is as far as I have used them. I use 4" per gallon.
