Today I received in the mail a brochure from a man who had recently traveled to Germany. He had visited a distillery there that produces Lagerkorn. The name of the distillery is Sasse Feinbrennerei.
Best I can tell is that they produce a corn based whiskey distilled very much like American corn whiskey or bourbon, and then they sell some unaged and also sell a few aged versions that were stored in cognac casks. The products look like the kind of thing I'd enjoy.
Can anybody shed some more light on German Lagerkorn or German whiskies? Has anyone tried any before?
