Plastic stripper

Post by Stanna »

Hi all, just wanted to see which way the wind blew on this idea I have, I am really into making beer at the moment and have all stainless mash tun and boiler, after buying beer related items online I see that they actually sell plastic beer boilers  which really surprised me, has anyone or would anyone ever consider making a stripping still out of a blue barrel, only to be used a couple of times max.

No, sounds like a really bad idea. What’s to be gained anyway if you need a new one every couple runs. Stick to stainless steel and copper which will last a lifetime.

one fella here used something similar and got legionnaires disease.
I'd rather pay up the extra bucks and not have to worry about that.
