Happy days. Glad to help. Now if ya teach me how to post pics so easy. Your pics made corrections to the errors a snap. Keep in touch when ya do the real fire up.

Can do! I use an app on my phone called Photo and Picture resizer. I take a picture with the camera on my phone, open the app and resize it down (it gives options for height/width or percentage. I usually use 1200 x 1600 i think it is, or smaller if the file size is larger.acfixer69 wrote:Happy days. Glad to help. Now if ya teach me how to post pics so easy. From there i hit the Upload attachment tab under the subject and body of the post/message.
Select the pic and hit the add the file button just to the right. Once it attaches you can hit the Place inline button under the image and it will place it in the message body (whereever your cursor currently is). Ive only done one at a time so not sure if it will let you add mlre than 1 per post. If all else fails i use imgur, upload the pic and add the link to the image.
Hopefully that makes sense.. I can make you out a step by step with images if needed. Just let me know.
Im surprised just how quick that little test heated 4 gals lol. I only turned it up long enough to look inside and see/ hear it. Was bathtub warm when i dumped it out like 6 or 8 mins later. Hopeful i wont leak under slight pressure/ during run.
Im gonna add a fanor two for the ssr next. Since i didnt run 4 wire i guess ill power that externally for now. Which is fine, i had gutted a Iphone wall wart to try and use but for now ill butcher a usb cable lol

I found that a number of AC / DC wall warts I had in my junk drawer were actually multi voltage. So some random charger I had worked just as well at 240v powering a fan as it did at 120v charging whatever it used to. Just check the input and output printed on the wall wart to be sure. It's a lot easier to have the fan power supply inside the box than to have a separate cable going in.
FYI, it's not just because you didnt use 4 wire, I dont think you can split off 1 leg of the 240v for a 120v load anywhere downstream of the spa panel. That would be sensed as a fault and trip the GFCI. (I think).
Also, I use the same app for resizing pics. Easy breasy on an android. I usually just pick whichever of its preset resolutions has one dimension close to 800 pixels, they end up under the size limit and seem plenty detailed enough for forum use. I would add one step and also use something like "Photo Exif Editor - Meta data editor". Run it after resizing and in one step it removes any potentially identifying metadata from your photos. Then upload via the posting screen.

Thanks Zapata! I will keep that in mind, good idea bringing up the metadata point. It made me curious so I enabled geo tagging in my phone settings, i could extract the data but once resized it seems to strip it out. Ill play with it some more to try and verify but if so that may save an extra step. Can never hurt to double check though. I believe imgur strips metadata on upload as well.

All was going so well, annnd then a leak sprung arounf my solder radius flange.. Sigh.. Now to decide if im going to heat up and pull the flange entirely, clean up and try it again, or start looking for a welder.. :/

Thanks AC! It works great. I did notice one thing.. That i didnt notice before.. I lose my meter until im about 30-35% power (on my SD potentiometer)then it turns on beyond that.. Perhaps that is normal? Ill have to look back and see how much "juice" is required for the lcd to come on. I think it stays on til about 18v then flickers and goes black >18
