Got labels?
Since I'm not so good at the stilling part of the hobby yet. I decided to put some effort into the labels.
Then at least the bottles look good. Need to get better at both glueing and sizing though. Whats your label?

Nice indeed!
But I am not fond about the rubber bands on the top! I used to store some likker in the beer bottles of Grolsch, with the rubber bands. Found that the rubbers got very soft, only by the vapour of the distillate.

Easy to remedy with a piece of PTFE tape. I have added this since the picture was taken.Kareltje wrote:Nice indeed!

No, it doesn't say that this is an 18 year old whisky. It says that you have to be 18 years old to drink it.Copperhead road wrote: And lying, no way the's a a 18yo single malt
the "age limit" part is _very_ small print though.
The whisky itself isn't even 18 days old yet.

Re: Home made bottle labels
I got an email from https://www.beerlabelizer.com/ about a new design.
Working on a AG? Sweetfeed White Whiskey so I thought I'd play with it.
Found an image a like so I plugged it in to the new design and an old standard.

Tee I like how you have incorporated “copper pot” on the label. That speak volumes in bold flavours in the bottle.

Your spiced rum labels up there look great.rubelstrudel wrote:Since I'm not so good at the stilling part of the hobby yet. I decided to put some effort into the labels.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, but:
I found this on ebay (I think). I like that it includes labels for the neck. (Christmas presents) I just googled at they are advertised at WalMart for $15 US for 40 bottles.
Also, these are currently $2.00 at Aldi. About the cost of just a bottle, the lemonade a bonus. The rubber's got to go. And I'm not sure about wrapping in ptfe tape.
I did order some tasting corks from amazon but not sure about using the wire with it.
Open to suggestions.

Re: Home made bottle labels
haha! Thanks Bushman! Hope things are well with you all. Aside from a burst of activity last year to fill a new 10g barrel with bourbon things have been slow on the brew front. My stocks are dwindling. Ive taken to blending my bourbons 50/50 with the Gumballhead to stretch it. Which is nice actually. The old gumballhead takes on a real nice character with age and adds a little crispness to the bourbon. I kind of wish now I made more gumballhead when I was running all those batches of bourbon last year. But alas I was up to my arse in 60lbs grain batches of slop one after another and all I wanted to do was dump it on the compost and move on to the next batch. I think it took me 5 30 gal/60lb ferments to fill that damn barrel.Bushman wrote:Looked at the photo first, was going to post that your labels are rivaling Jimbo’s then realized it was you that posted it.Jimbo wrote:Here's my latest label, recent batch of beer....
