Greetings all!
I have been at the edge of this for a few years. I am a pharmacist and my business partner and I bought a pot still a while back for fun and have made maybe a total of 6 runs, but really had to flavor the stuff to make it drinkable. We've also been buying grain alcohol to make hand sanitizer for our customers, and thought maybe we could distill the stuff rather than buy it.
As I near retirement my wife said "Get a hobby." I am not sure that this is what she meant, but I'm willing to try to improve my technique and see if I can get something worthwhile. I've been perusing the forum and there is a wealth of good info here. Thanks to all who contribute in order to teach those of us who are just starting in this!
