I went out and got the final bit of rum from the bottom of the barrel today.
Black nasty looking stuff, but great smell.
I have had some white rum in carboys since 2018 so I wanted that to have a turn in this barrel.
Here's what I got out:
Like I said, black as the devil's heart.
So I ran it through a coffee filter:
Into a jar:
And got 10 ounces of pure Panela rum:
Very much worth it!
