I've got 5 gallons of AG oat whiskey in the barrel and thought it deserved a nice bottle and label. My other hobby is woodworking and takes up the majority of my shop. I'm going to bottle in the 750ml moonshine jugs.

Nice label.

Re: Labels
I really like your label . Its very stylish .
However it has been suggested before that in the unlikelihood that you get busted , a fancy label is more likely to suggest intent to sell .

Re: Labels
The label is so obviously a spoof its hard to imagine it would be taken seriously. "Liquid courage", " 2 fights in every jug", "Farm store animal feed" in a secret location. I have a feeling you're having fun with me.Oldvine Zin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 3:29 pmI'm still looking for the clue that it's not for sale, but I'm also guilty of making labels too![]()

Re: Labels
It’s a sweet label. I’ve kicked this idea down the road for a while. I got some pretty slick ideas and mock up’s for what I would name my “distillery”. I definitely see Yummyrum’s side on this one. Any kind of product label certainly wouldn’t help my attorney in the event that terrible shit went down. IMO the hardest part of this hobby is being discreet. Hell, last night around the bbq the neighbors Wife starts going on and on about how her cousin is a “moonshiner”. And all I can say is oh that’s interesting

Re: Labels
Thanks. I guess I am not as worried as I should be. I made the label for my amusement and to share with like minded people, like on this site. I'm not selling and have a pretty tight inner circle and didn't put my address on the label. I will say though if I saw a bottle like this in someones liquor cabinet I wouldn't give it a second thought. Hiding in plain sight. You can't do that with a mason jar of shine.Stonecutter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 3:42 pm It’s a sweet label. I’ve kicked this idea down the road for a while. Label or not isn't going to matter if you are scrutinized by a federal agent with an attitude. Pintoshine got busted for 200 gallons of wash! Be discrete.

Pintoshine. You can not be serious. WTF has happened to people. The world and the people in it have certainly changed and not for the better. If you can not see the difference between me an Pintoshine you are beyond help. The world is full of chicken littles today. It's discouraging and really sucks the fun out of things.

Looks very good! I need to make a couple with some write-in spots for proof/batch details/etc... Most of mine end up being a piece of sharpied tape lol which has it's own appeal...
