I’m sorry if this forum is a no-beer zone or something like that, but this is the last place I could think of to ask this question. I’m dying to find out the name and where to get a beer I drank a couple of weeks ago. Here’s a little backstory.
I was hanging out at a friend’s house, and as usual, as soon as another group of friends learned of the impromptu gathering, they came over - with some more of their friends. Before I knew it, the place was brimming with people (all vaccinated and negative, that’s the first thing we checked). However, the countertop at my friend’s kitchen started amassing kegs of different beers.
I later found out that a couple of our unexpected guests actually brewed beer at home and brought their latest batches over to test them out. An hour later, most of us present were already drunk out of our minds because most of the booze was unfiltered (but delicious!).
I woke up the next morning good as new, without a headache or feeling nauseous (which was a first for me). Since then, I’ve been trying to learn the name of the beer I had been drinking that night, but none of the brewers recognized what I was talking about.
What I remember was that it had a dark, murky color, and the flavor was somewhat citrus-y, but not overly so. It had a rich and heavy flavor, and was exceptionally thick in the mouth. It wasn’t too sour but right around pitcher number 2 (I remember the number because that’s when I thought it’d be a good idea to log into my account at https://www.nodeposithero.com/us/) was when my memory started getting hazy. In other words, it must have been at least 6%-8% alcohol!
Does anyone even remotely recognize what brand this was? (One of the brewers did mention that my description reminded him of a European-brewed beer in a blue bottle with a white label, but there’s a ton of them). Please help!
Need help! I drank a craft beer but cannot remember its name!

It’s called, “the once in a lifetime” beer!
Seriously, if you’d just pour me a couple of glasses of it, I’ll tell you the style of beer. But I need to use MY SENSES to decipher your inquiry. Your description is more than somewhat lacking.
I guess you’ll just have to “re-create” the impromptu party once again!

I would find the guest who brought the keg and ask them what the offering was.
Just a thought.

Assuming someone unvaxxed is allowed to answer, the "rich and heavy" would suggest a stout. But that should be black, not murky. Murky and dark would indicate a porter or Marzen. But a Marzen uses noble hops so should not have the citrus notes. I am thinking a microbrew porter of some type, hopped with American hops to give the citrus flavors.

The germans brew a dark lager, swartzbier. The common commercial example is Kostritzer. It's a little hoppy but usually fairly light on the tongue and uses noble hops (no citrus). Dark IPA is a pretty common home brewer thing to do, that is my bet. Any time you say "citrus" my brain automatically goes to the Pacific northwest hop varieties.
Could also have been an american stout. Try Avery "out of bounds" or Rogue "Shakespear stout"
Look at the BJCP style guidelines. There arent a whole lot of dark beers to choose from so it may be easy to find. Again, if it was a homebrew it doesn't need to fit in any guideline so you may be boned. You need to get yourself a flavor wheel
That way when you try to describe something over the interwebs you can convey your thoughts more proficiently.

Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.
