Here’s a link describing recent legal injection sites for addicts in New York. I have had very close friends struggle and ultimately lose that battle with heroin addiction and although I believe in helping addicts anyway we can it’s hard for me to understand the governments hypocrisy in allowing addicts to shoot up legally but then it refuses to allow hobby distilling.

Absolutely. In the end it is the idleness of the tax payer which allows such unbridled corruption to continue. Most hide in the dark for fear of imprisonment. I for one definitely don’t want to be caught up with the empire. So the machine continues its pirouette.

The hypocrisy re: our hobby is all about tax dollars. And I don't see any understanding of it when the people making decisions don't have any idea of even a single detail re: the subject in question. Every single one of our elected officials is just as developmentally disabled as each of us. At least on this forum, you can see progress in individuals striving to learn something that one will never know all of.
But, from everyone that I've known that overdosed on that garbage was due to them trying to go clean, then using the same amount as before after tolerance has decreased. Not to mention that junkies can't even get "good"(?) heroin these days.
I think they may be trying to lighten the workload on NYC coroners.
