I just wanted to take an opportunity to thank everyone here. For being here. For being helpful, each in your own way. And especially for tolerating yet another newbie as he tried to achieve the most basic level of proficiency and asks stupid questions. I’ve learned a great deal already, and I am well aware that I’ve barely scratched the surface. Whatever differences we have in the world, I still consider myself lucky to be counted among you, and I sincerely hope that I can contribute in some small way during my tenure here.
Thank you.
Thank you

Re: Thank you
I tell my students that the only kind of stupid question, is the one they ask right after it was answered when they weren't paying attention.

I like that a lot!!
When my wife was pregnant, I was talking to her OBGYN and asked “May I ask a stupid question?” She gave me the usual response that there are no stupid questions. I told her that she doesn’t know the people I work with.

I always say "There IS such a thing as a stupid question, but I'd rather answer a stupid question than clean up after you when you do something stupid"

In five yrs from now the "barely scratched the surface" will just start to have meaning.. and then you'll realize that there's way more to learn.. so it best to specialize in one branch of the hobby, then see if it's worth expanding..Steve Broady wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:03 pm I’ve learned a great deal already, and I am well aware that I’ve barely scratched the surface.
This is a hobby that takes a life time of learning, and their still many unknowns at the end, as it's never ending, always some small detail showing its head which expand the quest for expansion..
Welcome to a hobby..
