Glad to see you're getting back in the saddle so (relatively) soon!

Thanks guys. It's painfully obvious I'm not in my 20's anymore but my career as a heavy duty mechanic has kept me in gòod shape my chiro said that made all the difference. That and my Scot/Irish stubborn streak.🤣

Good luck with things. Just over 10 months since my crushed vertebrae, and I think I have done as much as I can do myself to recover. Need physio to get that last 10% or so to come around.

Tough line between pushing enough so the bones get enough impact to heal, and not overdoing it. Good luck!

Hope you get that last 10%, if you have 90% without chronic or acute pain that is a victory over alternative.
I fractured L3,L4 L5 when I was 20. Dr said "you might walk but won't work again". Me:"thanks doc I'll prove you wrong" . Took 2 years to get fit again and reg chiro, exercise, stretching, martial arts, you name it, since to stay fit, that was 41 years ago. May 81. At 61 3 months ago I was in better shape than most 35-40 year olds. Act like a teenager 🤣. Just lucky I guess.
Just don't re-injure before everything heals and keep positive attitude.

TB I've got 2 or 3 months, with lots of free time to spend in the Lab. That last batch of rum I added oats and played with it a bit. I'm very close to nailing the taste I'd been looking for, for a long time.
I've also earned a new title at home. The wife works 5/2 still have 3 kids at home so I've been able to do the household chores, laundry, dishes, taxi (cadets, drama class and guides) , clean up and light yard work. To pick up the slack (or assist) on what she normally did. Of Course I don't fold the towels or clothes quite the right way, but they are done and supper is ready when everyone gets home.
I'm no longer "Hubbie" .... I'm "house husband". I'm good with that.
Mr Mom isn't a bad gig. AND I have time to play in the Lab and yes good tasting beverages are happening.

Thanks Bill. Yes road critters are a hazard up here. I've hit 3 or 4 over the years but had cage for protection.
It feels incredible to feel/be useful again.
