Is Aug 23 a special date? Other than my anniversary.
And my birthday. Sounds like two good reasons to celebrate.

My desire is to leave my barrels a minimum of 3 years as long as I have enough from jars to keep me happy. One bourbon from 2022 I won't leave that long. It was made with corn from the family farm and for Christmas I will take Dad a bottle from that barrel. He is 87 and I am afraid he will age out before the bourbon.
Retirement date.

That one special bottle makes the time and effort that you put into this hobby worth it all.
