Sounds like Ya did a better job blending the 1 run and done, than Ya did on the strip and spirit run batch.
Also, after only a single distillation and cuts, the liquor will be around 40%
When stripped and spirit run the proof will be higher.

Here's an experiment for Ya.
Proof down some liquor today and set it aside till tomorrow.
The next day proof down some more and compare the two.

Shady, the proofed liquor was hot even after 3 weeks. It spent one of those weeks stuck in a deep freeze. It was hot for at least a week after that.

The unproofed liquor is still hot.
