EASY Grain Strainer
I came up with this and it works great. It's a basket from a turkey fryer pot and I put some stainless steel bolts through the holes. Fits great in a bucket. Put a mesh bag inside the basket and put the basket inside the bucket and get to straining.

Optimal. If you want something bigger use a washing machine drum!

Love it. I admire you guys for deep-frying turkeys - I heard it’s the best way to tackle the beasts but I’ve never seen it done.
The washing machine bowl is a wonderful idea too. Nice one, people.

Re: EASY Grain Strainer
I scoop out all the clear liquid on top, then I push the turkey basket down into the mash, let it sit for a while and scoop out the liquid in the middle. I don’t try to screen out the slop as it settles out nicely. I start the night before I plan to run. I strain as I scoop it out using the paint strainer bags. I may have to weigh down the basket for a bit while I’m running the first batch. The mash is bone dry by the time I’m done, gravity does all the work.
