Hello

Post by Ockeghem »

Hello all, I'm a complete beginner to distilling, but I've dabbled in fermentation for awhile now-- mead, cider, beer, country wine. My interest in distilling is primarily to distill my own brandy in order to make fortified wines from scratch (although if I set up a still and get some good results I wouldn't be opposed to making a little liquor for its own sake...) I'm not even 100% sure I'll take the plunge and get a still, but I'm very curious about distilling, I'm open to learning about it, and I've enjoyed reading around on this website and forum so I wanted to introduce myself

Thanks!

Welcome to the club 🍻. I love me some red wine brandy. Got a bunch of low wines waiting to be run. It won't take long and you'll be hooked. It's happened to many here. See ya down the rabbit hole.
I drink so much now,on the back of my license it's a list of organs I need.

Welcome to the forum.

You'll soon be looking to make a pot still for that brandy I'm sure!
Just keep reading.
