New to the forum
Hi. I’ve been interested in the idea of home distilling for some time but in terms of actual knowledge - a complete newbie. I have been reading some of the forum threads and can tell there is quite a bit to learn. For what it’s worth - I’m told my maternal grandfather spent some time in jail before wwii for making moonshine. This was in Eastern Europe - at the time Hungary but now part of Ukraine I believe. I’m tickled by the idea of rekindling a family tradition - without the jail part of it.

Welcome to the club
. There's definitely a lot to learn. But everything you need is right here. Info, and people to help you. When you are ready I suggest the Tried and true section. It'll help you immensely till you gain the experience and knowledge to start playing around with your own recipes. But follow them exactly.
