[PCS2025]

Distilling is the newest of my hobbies.
After a period of reading the forum posts with interest, I realized that my current domains of interest are fermentation (grain mash, sugar mash), making neutral alcohol, using activated carbon filters, and gin recipes.

I have never made gin, rum or whisky.
I only distilled fruit, wine and grape plums. But no quality drinks.

I recently bought a copper column boiler with 3 bubble plates and deflegmator. It runs on gas.
I want to put it to work. I hope.

Welcome home PCS, are you military by chance, PCS is well known for military. You'll have a ton to read but it's better than going to college, lol. I've been onboard here since 2011 and the journey has been great. There are many here to help but they do ask that you do your homework. In the last couple years I've made a good amount of SBB's All Molasses Rum and even tweaked a rum recipe for myself. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a private message. Welcome to the forum. LOts of great, easy to follow recipes in the tried and true section. Follow them well and you'll find you wont need to do anything with activated carbon filters. (They are usually made of plastic anyway, which is a big no for high proof spirits.)
