Interesting Contra, when I look at that post on my Iphone the pic is a ? in a blue box .but when I look at it on my work PC , its a pic of calcium on a cup .
I can download it and it has a file size of 190.2kb .


EDIT : as a Mod I can click on that post and see how it was posted .
That was not an uploaded attachment .
It was an img hosted from an external site . So the problem still remains why attachments aren’t able to be uploaded unless under 40kb .

However , it is still interesting that it shows as a Pic on a PC but as a Blue Question mark on an Iphone .

PHPBB has been updated to the latest version.

As usual, report any issues you have with the forums so I can try to chase them down ASAP.

Next I am going to upgrade the various extensions/add-ons.

I don't know if this will fix the image upload problem, but that's on my list of things to address.

Didn't fix the image problem, sadly. The images upload just fine, I can see it in my network monitor and the page shows 100% progress, but the store/save/submit/whatever step is failing.

did a chown -R on the phpbb directory, all ownership is www:www

The main page/wiki has been upgraded to the latest version of mediawiki.

Still errors on the calcs page. The actual page that lists the calcs works, but clicking on any of the links to go to a calc brings up a 404 Not Found error

doing my best to track down this image upload problem.

I added .webp image types to the allowed list

I need more specifics on this. .png files are failing but it appears .jpg are working, is this correct?

Is this only from android phones or does it happen from other hosts?

I uploaded a png and a webp image to a moderator thread and it worked so I need more specifics here.
