I'm into the tails of the spirit run of my molasses rum. I am collecting in 20cl (0,5 pint) jars still, down to 56% ABV. It's tails alright because the taste right now is bitter, not pleasant. But people keep talking about the "deep tails", what is that really? How much deeper do I need to go to get there?
56% abv off the spout is pretty deep for me, but sure, I can go deeper than that, but a ball park figure would be great.
