Commerical unaged corn liquor

I apologize for trying to choose a board to post this I couldn't find one that fits it perfectly.

I'm in the US and I've noticed that all the commercially available "moonshines" all have the same taste. Ole Smokey, Georgia Moon, Sugarland. All 3 taste very similar but absolutely nothing like homemade spirits I've had and I make. I was just curious if anybody has tasted them and what their thoughts were on them. To me they taste chemically. Not like heads but like a weird chemical flavoring. I didn't know if those big distilleries did stuff to theirs or if their whole process makes it taste that way
