i just modified the legality page in the wiki by basically converting the legality page from homedistiller. it works nicely with a bit of editing. the problem is that i believe the info for the U.S. is not accurate. you can own a still in california without a permit. you can produce ethanol for fuel in california without a permit. you can produce fuel alchol legally according to federal law, and i _believe_ but am not sure that you only need to file a simple piece of paperwork, not at all like the stringent applications for a distilled spirit plant.
