DCT, I'm glad it all worked out and there was a lesson learned, but on a different note, 15 couples knowing about your illegal hobby is a mistake in itself. All it will take is one of those people to get mad at you and we will be reading about you in the news, give it some thought. Otherwise, it's all a waste.

Yes I agree, however, I tend to feel a little sympathy for people who'm are coming to terms with an addiction, we all behave differently.MuleKicker wrote:we have alldone stupid shit, but to come on here and brag about it like a badge of honor is another thing.. like in the first post.Austin Nichols wrote:DCT,
Good onya for realizing the error of your ways, and I'm happy everything turned out ok, your wife must be a darlin to put up with all that and forgive you, hang onto her!
I dont think you deserve to lose your membership or to be asked to surrender it, that's just bullshit! I'll bet most on here have done something stupid on the grog and dont want/like to admit it, hell I have and learnt a good lesson from it, and I'm a better person now for it.
Cheers.

My sister almost died in high school from alcohol poisoning (15 years ago). She was at a party and SAID somebody spiked her drink (true or not I dont know)... Regardless, DCT's post has NOTHING to do with home brewing / home distilling. This is a great hobby, and nothing to do with alcohol poisoning/binge drinking... Anybody can die from alcohol poisoning from stuff you can buy right down the street...
The point here is this: Whether its made at home, or bought in a store... be safe, be smart, and dont be a f***ing idiot! Its all fun and games until you race to the ER to see your sister grey as a ghost with her clothes cut off her shaking body because shes having seizures!
DCT, this is no slam at you. I commend your openess... And I hope that it continues with your wife as you stay sober and away from alcohol. I hope you work through this, I really do. Just know that ALWAYS your own actions affect others. Let this be a good lesson for all that read this thread.
DCT... good luck man. Be safe.

I once took a 1/2 gallon of 140 proof to a wedding for all the groomsmen to enjoy while we got ready. It was GONE before the ceremony. Terrible mistake. Worst wedding I have ever been to. 3 seperate knock-down dragout fist fights between groom and groosmen. You know Popcorn said he made two kinds: "The fightin' kind" and "The lovin' kind", which do you think that 1/2-gallon was?
