Keg

Hey Guys
I have enjoyed reading and learning from your many posts
I am currently finishing my still from plans at building a home distilling apparatus. the plans build a reflux colum still with a water jacket condensor.
I have a keg that I want to use as the boiler but i dont know if it is stainless or aluminum. 
Any way to tell? I hope to use a stainless steel bowl to attach the colum to the boiler.
I am also looking for copper mesh to hold the packing in. will the local hardware store have it?
And how do I post a picture?
