Never to old to have a first

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

Had my first run of peach likker from my own trees this year.Only had a few bushels but all went into the ferment er. :)
I use a pot still.Sometimes with a thumper

do you have sulfites and pectic enzyme any where in your schedule???

Congrats Tater!
Due to a lack of care, I lost all 3 of my trees to bore worms. Was fun playing lumberjack though :lol:

Nope dont use any of that .Just remove seeds and ferment as is either with sugar or with out

How much likker did you get?
How long will you let it age?
Will you char up a peach for the barrel (as it were)?

did a 14 gallon wash with added sugar got 2 3/4 gallons of 110 .Gonna drink as is tempered to 100 proof.When I char peach likker I char a few peaches per gallon and age six month to a year .

Next winter sounds good for peach brandy.
So whats on the menue for this winter?
