glycerine
how and where does this product fit into the making of whiskey or brandy etc. I realize the question is not specific enough but i need a direction to persue for further information.

it is used to"thicken" or give "mouth feel" . in brandy and liquors

I use 10ml per 750 ml of 40% vodka. Helps the taste along...

Dont know much about whiskey, my first one is still fermenting, but it does help my vodka...

yes it was usually considered "cheating" adding in small amounts makes it appear to be of higher proof. it was referred to as "beading oil"
I whould never use it. as there is no problem making or ageing. and don't add anything but grain/water/yeast and a barrel (s)
I understand it can also adds some"sweetness" I whould not want.
