I'm deployed to Cold Bay, Ak. and haven't had a drink in weeks!
Reading this site is driving me crazy! All I can think about all day is firing up my still and having a taste! I made a bunch of mashes before I left that are just waiting for me to get back. Whenever that is Ah well, at least the ptarmigan are easy to shoot

Cold Bay...nice! I flew over there on my way out to Adak a short while back. Man, I was stuck there for a week! Next time i go back there I'm takin' my rifle, the caribou were beautiful! We did some hiking and whatnot there, but that's where civilization went to die..and the prices--geez I thought times were tough down in the conus, I can't believe the cost of stuff up there! G'luck with the deployment, better being cold in Cold Bay than some other..,
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Ah well, at least the ptarmigan are easy to shoot
