I need some advice

Per olddogs advice I would like to hear from the mentors, mods and some of the more experienced members of the forum if possible. Here's my dilemma. I perchased what I thought was an all copper fire extingiusher for my thumper build I thought it would make some nice copper porn. After further inspection I found out it is copper plated brass. My plan was to remove the top and remove all the led solder and redo it with silver solder. Some other members have raised concernes about it's safty and olddog suggested that I ask for input from other members before I use it. I know it will ultimatly be up to me to decide what I use but I would like to hear your opinions. Do you think this would be a safe container to use for this project or should I scrap the idea, eat the cost and explain to the wife why I waisted good money on this thing when work is so slow? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
